Collection: Hot Foil

A technique using heat and pressure to apply metallic designs to a range of surfaces.

Special foil sheets that are reactive to heat are used together with thin metal hot foil plates or hot foil stamps and a hot foil machine to transfer the image onto the surface, after which the surface is run through a die cut machine to apply more pressure to ensure a smooth and even transfer of foil.

Create foiled effects in your journal, invitations or create beautiful designs on your handmade cards.  Foiled images can be coloured with markers or ink or foiled sentiments can be added for that extra special effect.

Hot foil plates, glimmer plates and hot foil stamps, whichever name you call them by, are such a growing trend, and many paper crafting companies now offer various designs as well as a myriad of colours of glimmer hot foil rolls.
